Life and Death.

Today I’m going to do something I have never done before on my blog.  I am going to ask you to support a couple of causes very close to my heart.  I realise that life is tough financially for a lot of us but I am asking that you consider either or both of the following causes if you can.

Julia Watson is an amazing lady from Frankston, Victoria who writes the popular blog Five Fairies and a Fella.  She is also the author of the book Breakfast, School Run, Chemo.  Jules is the mum of 4 gorgeous young girls, the youngest has special needs and they all lead very busy lives.  Somehow, while caring for her daughters, her partner Gaz and dealing with the last stages of bowel cancer, Julia managed to write her book.  After, a long and painful illness, Jules and Gaz have been told there is nothing more the doctors can really do for her, although Jules heard today that she will have some more surgery over the coming days to extend the time she has with her family.  It is to enable Gaz to have time off work to be with Julia during these last however long …. that friends have begun a fund for the family.  Jules and Gaz and the girls are great, hardworking, honest folks and if you feel inclined, please click on the link below and go to the fundraiser site and donate.

The second fundraiser I am asking you to consider, relates to my friend Jenny From the Farm and her horrendous stomping at the hooves of a steer!  Now while we know that Jenny has recovered remarkably, we also know that she would not be around if not for the amazing LifeFlight Rescue Crew.

With this in mind a big fundraiser, for LifeFlight, has been arranged for this coming Saturday 5 November 2016, with an amazing auction of incredible items, music, dancing and the rogue beast will be barbecued for consumption.  This will all take place at the Brymaroo Rodeo Grounds. Information can be found below –

The BBQ & The Beast – LifeFlight Fundraiser.

As this very worthy fundraiser is taking place out in the country and you may not be able to travel there to attend,  some of you may wish to make an online donation on Jenny’s behalf. The link for that is HERE.

So there you have it ….. two very worthwhile causes close to my heart, that would appreciate any support you can give.

Happy weekend everyone!
