Wednesday’s Words: Footprints in the Sand.

The other day this beautiful photograph dropped into my Facebook newsfeed.  It is of my gorgeous two year old great nephew, Zachary, running down the beach with such freedom.  He looks as though he doesn’t have a care in the world!  Oh to be young and free again, I thought!

It immediately made me think of the beautiful “Footprints in the Sand” poster poem.  I have loved those words from the very first time I heard them.  They spoke to my heart then and they speak to my heart now.  My faith is not something that I write about in detail in The Mandy Diaries, but it always underpins my every thought and word.  Sometimes, I forget, in my times of trouble, that God is carrying me through it all.

So here are Wednesday’s Words for this week – Footprints in the Sand – the author of these words is very much up for debate but you can read about it here.

  1. I’ve always loved the Footprints in the Sand words. They speak to my heart too Mandy. And such a gorgeous photo to accompany it. A lovely Wednesday post.
